The Digital Revolution Globally has enabled Federal, State and Local governments through Private/Public Partnerships to develop Smart Cities business plans. The Digital Infrastructure required for a smart city include Neutral Fiber Optics Infrastructure, Neutral Wireless Infrastructure & Neutral Meet Me Rooms Infrastructure. The building and deployment of a NFN neutral shared network provides the government through a Private/Public partnership the abilities to efficiently utilize and monetize government infrastructure assets and avoid the existing obstacles of multiple operators deploying networks (including trenching of streets several times and abusive aerial installation of fiber optic cables). The smart city will be a reality in the years ahead only with the correct Digital Infrastructure Deployment Plan. NFN and its investment partners can assist governments in the development and deployment of the Neutral Digital Infrastructure required to become a Smart City.
